TSCF at AgriTechDay

TSCF at AgriTechDay

At AgriTechDay organized by Axema, our unit presented several innovative projects carried out in partnership with industry players. Agricultural robot safety, energy optimization of tractors, and autonomous navigation were at the core of the discussions.

Agricultural robot safety in collaboration with DINTEC

INRAE and DINTEC unveiled innovative testing protocols to evaluate contactless obstacle detection systems. These technologies are essential for autonomous robots operating on farms, particularly for tasks such as livestock feeding. The results highlighted the importance of selecting the right components to ensure safety, even under challenging weather conditions or at high speeds.

Improving energy efficiency with MICHELIN

A collaboration with MICHELIN emphasized the key role of tires in reducing energy losses in tractors. By combining experimental measurements and modeling, the goal is to design increasingly efficient tires that promote both energy savings and the durability of agricultural machinery.

Autonomous navigation and agroecology with SabiAgri

Within the TIARA joint laboratory, an algorithm developed with SabiAgri uses 3D sensors to enable precise autonomous navigation. Functioning even without GPS signals, it adapts to agroecological practices such as Pixel Farming, demonstrating accuracy comparable to traditional systems.

These presentations showcase the advances made possible by ambitious, collaborative research. AgriTechDay helped strengthen the ties between researchers and industry to tackle the challenges of sustainable and innovative agriculture.
