The ConnecSens project, initiated as part of the CPER program, aims to develop a wireless sensor solution. The project’s objectives are as follows:

  • Instrumentation of pilot sites focused on water-related issues,
  • Development of a wireless sensor network platform for environmental monitoring,
  • Development of tools and methods for data collection,
  • Development of interactions between modeling and instrumentation.

Four sites were selected for this project:

  • Lake Aydat, for the study of planktonic community dynamics and evolution,
  • Irstea’s Montoldre site, for research on the water functioning of agroecosystems,
  • Auzon site on the Allier River, for monitoring natural hydraulic annexes,
  • Roffin uranium mine, for studying the impact of natural radioactivity on ecosystems.

The ConnecSens project is supported by the European Union.
