PFAS Symposium: Challenges and Alternatives

PFAS Symposium: Challenges and Alternatives

The recent PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) symposium, co-organized by the Mission for Transversal and Interdisciplinary Initiatives (MITI) and the Directorate of Relations with Enterprises (DRE) of CNRS, was successfully held on March 27 and 28, 2024. This important event brought together key players from research, industry, public institutions, associations, policymakers, and the media to discuss the challenges related to these widespread pollutants and to explore innovative alternatives.

This symposium aimed to serve as a starting point for new research projects covering the detection, remediation, and alternatives to PFAS, often referred to as "forever pollutants."

During these days, François Pinet from TSCF was an invited speaker to present the challenges of designing environmental information systems and data traceability.
